What I need for FICA?

FICA Requirements:

In compliance with South African FICA requirements we are required to adhere with the requirements of the Financial Intelligence Centre Act 2001 ("FICA") which sets out, inter alia, requirements in relation to customer registration and identification.

Customer Identification:

We hereby request that you please upload a photo of or a certified copy (not older than 3 months) of one of the following:

• Valid Green South African ID Book
• Valid Smart South African ID Card
• Valid Driver License
• Valid Passport

If you are using a smart card ID or a drivers license please ensure that both sides of the card are uploaded.

Bank Statement:

Please note that as an additional validation, please provide a valid Bank Statement or Proof of Bank Letter for a South African bank account no older than 3 months from registration date:

• Must show your name. This must be the name on your ID or passport document.
• Must show your address.
• Must show your bank account number. You must use this same bank account number when requesting a withdrawal.
• Must be certified with dated stamp. Must be less than 3 months old.

- Please ensure that your documents are clear and that all 4 corners are visible.

- Please note that the bank document you have submitted, is the only bank account that will be used for if you request a withdrawal. 

- Please note that when your FICA is approved. It is the an approval step, your documentation will then be verified by the South African Home Affairs and Registered Bank upon your first withdrawal.
